Level One
Students come to WHBTC with varying levels of scriptural knowledge and spiritual maturity. For this reason, Level One is split into Part A and Part B and taken over 2 years. It is foundational in nature, encompassing such topics as The Holy Spirit & His Gifts, Christ the Healer, Praying In Spirit & Truth, How to be Led by the Holy Spirit, Pentecostal & Charismatic Theology and Understanding our Redemption, Believer’s authority, How to study the Bible.
Level Two
On completion of Level 1, students move onto Level 2 which builds on the strong Biblical foundation now established. The courses offered in Level two contain concentrated material. These areas of specialised study enable students to focus on being equipped for the type of service God has called them to. These areas can be broadly split between Supportive Ministries, for example- Children’s, Youth, Young Adult, Worship Leaders, Administration, etc. and Leadership Ministry such as Pastors, Missionaries, Traveling Ministers & Associate Ministers.
Some subjects covered in year two include: The Believers Authority, Building Ministry Teams, People Skills, Biblical Leadership, Effective Pastoring, Church Pioneering, Ministerial Ethics, Church Growth Dynamics, Church Administration, The Traveling Ministry, End Times, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Innovations in Ministry & Technology in Ministry.
Level Three
Once a student has graduated some will have opportunity to participate in our apprenticeship level three programme to gain further experience. We currently offer a variety of apprenticeships, including a missionary apprenticeship through the Sowers Club, a mission organisation founded and directed by Pastor Matt and Julie Beemer.
Practical Ministry Requirements (PMR)
In Practical Ministry students learn the importance of getting the practical areas of ministry right, and in doing so grow the character of our students by being faithful and willing to put their hands to every side of ministry. Our part-time students have to complete a total of 75 hours during the year. Students fulfil their PMR in their own church and will be allocated to service areas including: Maintainence, Hospitality, Administration & Stewarding. Students will also gain vital practical experience by having to go on a 2 -3 week church based placement during year 1, and a missions based placement during year 2.
Level Two Trip To USA
Each student will travel to the USA while in Level 2, to experience some of the best churches and ministries in the world. Students will get opportunities to experience first hand what itinerating is all about! They will help Pastor Matt and other ministry leaders minister in several different churches with opportunities to share their testimonies. They then attend Winter Bible Seminar at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the ministry that our directors and many of our staff and teachers are accountable to.
